About Making Your Name Famous…

Genesis 12:2 (GNT)

“I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing.”

This is God’s promise to Abraham. its also God’s promise to us too. But it doesn’t get fulfilled in some people’s lives because they seek it for the wrong reasons. Our God is all about MOTIVES. Why do you want what you want?

Why do you seek that career advancement? That relevance you want so much? That bigger stage? That influence you’re working so hard to get?

Is it all about you?

In the above bible verse, underline the phrase: “SO THAT you will be a blessing..”. Those words make the difference. The reason why God chooses to make anyone famous is SO THAT they can be a blessing.

Of what use is your fame if it doesn’t bless and add value to lives? If your being famous doesn’t glorify God, that fame will work against you.

Of what use is your platform and gifts if u hoard it & refuse to share? If you honor the platform more than the giver, that same platform will be your downfall.

The fame is not for your glory. It’s for drawing attention to the one who is all and who gives all. God seeks to make you famous so you can make HIM famous. That’s true relevance.

Sometimes, God keeps you hidden in a corner because your heart is not yet right. He knows why you want what you want.

You seek greatness? Work and serve to make others great. Learn humility in reverence to God.

Pursue purity. Purity of motives, purity of purpose, purity of thought and purity of actions.

May the lord keep you.
